First Drive Volkswagen Beetle

First Drive Volkswagen Beetle - The 2012 New Volkswagen Beetle First Drive that introduced the world to the unfortunate, oxymoronic marketing cutism called "retromodernism." The last Beetle might have sold well, but it was largely an unloved creature, and it never maintained the initial euphoria. Unlike the Mini, for example, or the Fiat 500. 2012 Volkswagen Beetle: First Drive In a little over a decade Volkswagen saw its Beetle transform from Adolf Hitler's dream of the "people's car" to the foulest of all marketing slurs — a "chick car." Does the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle finally provide a more manly solution? We drove it today to find out.

The front-engined, front-wheel-drive New Beetle, first launched in 1998, was as far away as Volkswagen could get from the simple rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive formula that made the original the longest-running and most-manufactured automobile of a single design platform anywhere in the world.

2012 Volkswagen Touareg Review

2012 Volkswagen Touareg Review - The 2012 Volkswagen Touareg shows the road ahead with advanced, fuel-saving technologies, and a new premium driving experience.  This is VW’s Race Touareg 3 concept, based on the endurance monster that took the top three places in this year’s Dakar rally - the two-week race that’s now run across Argentina and Chile’s roughest landscapes. And as you’ve probably guessed, this isn’t some regular showroom-spec Touareg with the body of a real Dakar winner. This is a real Dakar winner, albeit a slightly cosier one, reformatted for us regular civvies.

The Volkswagen Touareg can tackle the most rugged of terrain yet cruise down the highway in luxurious comfort. And a properly equipped Touareg is rated to tow up to 7,700 pounds.

The 2012 Volkswagen Touareg is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by German automaker Volkswagen since 2002. It was the third sport utility vehicle from the automaker, after the much older Volkswagen 181 "Kurierwagen", and the Iltis (later produced by Bombardier). One even holds the world record for the heaviest load towed by a passenger car, pulling a Boeing 747 as part of an advertising campaign.

The 2011 Dakar-winning Race Touareg is powered by a 2.5-liter TDI producing 296 hp and 442 lb.-ft, sent through three limited-slip diffs via a 5-speed sequential gearbox and a ZF-Sachs three-plate ceramic clutch. Presumably, the concept has that going on as well.

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Review

2012 Volkswagen Jetta Review - The right place for 2012 Volkswagen Jetta price performance review, all sorts of Volkswagen Jetta info, as well as frequently updated 2012 Volkswagen Jetta pictures. Perpetuating the standards of excellence it established long ago, the Jetta continues to be Volkswagen’s most popular car. The new and improved 2012 Volkswagen Jetta is no exception. The Jetta GL, GLS, GLI, and Jetta GLX are all new for 2012. 2012 Volkswagen Jetta is in its way for making and showing it to global market, there will be changes made from previous versions and they are in the making of those changes.

So estimations and expectations of this Jetta model is going around very fast and recently some snaps of this latest Volkswagen are out and it is in disguised form so limit to some estimations only.

A 5-year, 60,000-mile warranty, as well as a host of other features and amenities come standard with Volkswagen’s four models. the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta will be launched this October with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 2.5-liter five, and a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel, our favorite version will not be far behind. The GLI, which features a turbocharged 2.0-liter and a far sportier suspension setup, will be at dealers early next year. We drove a prototype of the Euro-market Jetta 2.0 TSI, which is identical to the forthcoming GLI except for its cosmetics.

2012 Volkswagen Golf Review

2012 Volkswagen MkVI Golf Review - Volkswagen’s MkVI Golf  has been on sale for less than a year (in most parts of the globe) but development on the next-generation of the popular compact is already well underway in Germany. Volkswagen has since edited the video to remove the leak but thanks to the guys at Auto Motor und Sport we have this screen shot of the clay model. The design shows clear links to the new Scirocco and Polo, with a pronounced front end and narrow headlights.

Recently we saw spy shots depicting the first test-mules of the MkVII Golf, which revealed that it will come with a wider stance than the current model. We now have an image of a semi-complete clay model of the upcoming car, which was accidentally captured on an official Volkswagen promo video for the recently revealed L1 concept car.

As the most powerful small car ever offered by Volkswagen, the 2012 VW Golf R has a dual purpose in appealing to previous owners of the previous Golf R32 and to bring new visibility to the R line of performance vehicles.

Q&A for the R: The Fastest, Most powerful Golf to date, with All-Wheel Drive to Boot. But is it Enough?

According to the same papers, Volkswagen is expecting to sell less than 1.6 million units of the MkVI. The MkV, which first went on sale in 2003, managed to rack up more than 2.3 million sales.
