2012 Ford C-Max Review

2012 Ford C-Max Review - Ford thinks its diminutive people mover can shake the uncool reputation of the minivan, and we’re tempted to believe it. The C-Max coming here in early 2012, our C-Max is called the Grand C-Max in Europe; over there, the plain C-Max name is applied to a shorter, five-seat version, which we won’t be getting. Both share underpinnings with the 2012 Focus, but the wheelbase of the Grand is stretched by 5.5 inches, to 109.8.

The Ford Grand C-Max, a seven-seater with sliding doors and a roomy interior, coming to the U.S. in 2012, is not a minivan. Heard that one before? We took the European model for a test drive in the hills of France to find out how not-minivan-like the new C-Max family is.

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302  - 2012 Boss 302 couldn’t be less like the original - today’s UPS trucks come with more creature comforts than most track-oriented muscle cars from the late 1960s. The new Boss models receive an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, dark metallic dash and door panels, a black shift knob, and cloth seats with “suede-like” center inserts. The GT500’s Recaro front bucket seats are optional. Eleven pounds of sound-deadening material are missing, to allow more of the engine’s uniquely tuned exhaust sound to fill the cabin.

The 2012 Boss Mustang is hitting the streets once again in the form of the track-oriented Boss 302 unveiled at the Rolex Historic Races at Laguna Seca. The 2012 Mustang Boss 302 and 302 Laguna Seca hit dealerships sometime in 2011 at a price yet to be determined. Figure around $36000 for the base 302. According to the company, the 2012 Mustang Boss 302 is the “quickest, best-handling straight-production Mustang ever offered by Ford.” It pays homage to its track-star forebears by lightening and strengthening key components, juicing up the engine, and wrapping it all in the vintage color schemes that Boss Mustangs are known for still today.

Ford’s group VP of global marketing, didn’t have to fly to California for the debut of the Mustang Boss 302. No one told him to. He came anyway. “I’ve been driving my own Mustang right through the past two Michigan winters thinking about this project,” he says. “From a business standpoint, the Boss 302 shouldn’t have happened. But it happened. My dream for the car was that it would make a lot of money for a guy street racing. It should be a car that winds up on YouTube doing something illegal. I’ve been waiting 20-plus years to launch a car like this.”

Ford Taurus Review

Ford Taurus Review - The 2012 Ford Taurus is expected to receive a mild cosmetic freshening and a four-cylinder version of Ford’s turbocharged EcoBoost engine. An automated dual-clutch manual transmission is a possibility, as well. On the tech front, the 2012 Taurus is expected to make available such new features as the configurable MyFord Touch operating interface and the latest version of Ford’s Sync multimedia system.

The 2012 Ford Taurus is the best car for you if you like to drive a large sedan and crave the latest comfort, convenience, and infotainment features.

With appealing looks and great comforts, the 2012 Ford Taurus SHO is a wolf in sheep's clothing. The car recently received the government’s highest five-star front crash test rating, and there are a number of other Taurus parts worth noting, too. New for 2012, the Ford Taurus comes in six different models:

  • Taurus LX
  • SE
  • SES
  • SEL
  • SE Wagon
  • Taurus SL Wagon

2012 Ford Fiesta Hatchback Review

2012 Ford Fiesta Hatchback Review - The 2012 Ford Fiesta, a longstanding subcompact vehicle, is set to have its release in dealers’ showrooms during September of 2011. This will be just in time for the usual model year transition. It is unknown if the vehicle has been showcased anywhere yet. The body style is likely to remain similar to its previous model, leaving other expectations unlikely at this time. No exact details have been released concerning the body style, be it about the vehicle’s interior or exterior. Given the reputation that the Fiesta has, it will likely retain the highlights that it already has.

2012 Ford Fiesta SES 4dr Hatchback (1.6L 4cyl 5M)

Review
I bought a Ford Fiesta SES Hatchback at the end of April. Overall this car is amazing. Its incredibly efficient. I just went on a road trip to Maine and it got 41mpg going back and around 38-39 going up/driving around there. For typical weekly driving I get around 35-37 mpg driving a combination of city and highway. Although driving back roads yesterday i was able to get around 50mpg. Note: The gauge for the mpg on the car is a bit pessimistic.

2012 Ford Focus RS500 Review

Ford Focus RS500 -  Cosworth Impreza CS400 and Volvo C30 PCP - No major developments or notable events to speak of. Richard momentarily misplaced his mobile phone; the heater in James’s Ferrari went on the blink; Jeremy discovered for the first time just how many fake Clarksons there are on Twitter and was LITERALLY astounded. And that’s about it. The Ford Focus is a compact car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company since 1998. Ford began sales of the Focus to Europe in July 1998 and in North America during 1999 for the 2000 model year.

So, to Sunday’s show, and what a delicious programme we’ve cooked up for you this week. For starters, we’ve got a test of three very hot hatchbacks on our track. Jeremy does his best to pick a favourite from the Ford Focus RS500, Cosworth Impreza CS400 and Volvo C30 PCP before discovering a small but rather indigestible problem with each of them which will become apparent in due course.

Our main course this week is a tasty test of the Rolls-Royce Ghost, Mercedes S65 AMG and a rather unusual Bentley Mulsanne which involves a fat man and an untimely death. We’ll leave it at that for now rather than ruin your appetite for this sizzling two-parter.

Chuck in the news and a fizzy, refreshing interview with Jonathan Ross and you’ve got a hearty, meaty feast of yummy Top Gear goodness. We hope you like it.

2012 New Ford Mondeo Review

2012 New Ford Mondeo Review - The Mondeo is available in a wide range of models, from hatchback or estate & petrol to diesel and Ford Mondeo sneak into Detroit. The Ford Mondeo Estate is like a pop group. But why? Music executives 'manufacture' bands to appeal to a wide market. Americans were first to step on the moon, and first to listen to music played on a gramophone. Now they’re beating us again, dammit. They’ll get the new Ford Mondeo a year before we do. The car is another debutant at the Detroit show 2012, but we Brits won’t be able to buy it until well into 2013. Ah well, looks like a nice update on the car we have.

Two important future European models are on display at the Detroit show this week, but both are incognito because each is wearing its North American nameplate.

The Ford Fusion sedan that debuted here will arrive in Europe next year as the new-generation Mondeo. The Buick Encore small SUV will debut in Europe in late 2012 as the Opel Mokka.

2012 Ford Ecosport Review

2012 Ford Ecosport Review - Ford Motor India has revealed a sporty and economical mini SUV today (4th January), it will be on display at the Auto Expo 2012. It is expected that it will be a concept and production vehicle will be launched later this year. It has been developed specially to cater those customers who want a compact SUV within a budget of 7-9 lakh rupees.

Ford Ecosport has been unveiled today at a grandsome event at Taj Palace in New Delhi. This is the first official glimpse of Ford Ecosport across the globe and there are no doubts that the SUV is heart-throbbing. The model shown is actually the next generation Ecosport and the earlier generation was there in many global markets excluding India. Introducing the global product first time in India is probably a sign of great automobile market. Very stylish and trendy Ecosport is affixed with 1liter 3 cylinder petrol engine delivering 120ps power and 170Nm torque with super low Co2 emission levels of 140g/km in India. Though it is petite, the Ecoboost engine is capable of developing power similar to a bigger 1.6-litre motor in Fiesta. The Kinetic Design on the Ecosport resembles the design on many Ford cars now. Ford Ecosport price can range between Rs 9 lakh-Rs 12 lakh as the crossover will enjoy excise benefits for being sub 4 metre in length.

The mini-SUV will step in India and find a place in the crossover SUV segment which is slowly and steadily gaining popularity. Their compact size fits well on congested Indian roads and adds practicality to the car. Ford seems to have a highly hectic schedule, as it has revealed its new car, the next generation Ford Ecosport in the Auto Expo, 2012. Codenamed as ‘B512’, the American car maker has revealed this crushed SUV at the mega event which will be followed by an official launch in Indian market. Ford Ecosport is a clever combination of a SUV, compact car and a hatchback. The present model of Ford Ecosport is quite a success in Brazil and Indian car market has similar dynamics to Brazil, therefore, Ford wishes to repeat that kind of success in India too.

2013 Ford Mustang Car

2013 Ford Mustang Car - A new volume knob on the radio represents big news to Mustang loyalists, and so we are preparing for a virtual meltdown in the online Mustang community. Ford is debuting the 2013 model at the Los Angeles auto show this week before the car hits dealerships in early 2012, and it has undergone some significant changes.A one-off 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 prototype used during the development of the upcoming 650-horsepower muscle car has sold at auction over the weekend for a staggering $300,000.

As we first reported last week, this particular Shelby GT500 can’t be titled and licensed for street use.  the 2013 Ford Mustang, which will sport a brace of tech and styling updates across its line — including the most powerful V8 engine sold by any automaker in the world. How much trouble could you get in with a 200-mph ‘Stang?

The original pony car has survived 46 years only through annual tweaking between major redesigns, and offering a broad enough model range to lure in everyone from high-schoolers to professional drag racers. Thanks to the competition with the revived Chevrolet Camaro, there’s more muscle in muscle cars than ever before; today’s base V6 Mustang has more grunt than the V8 flashed seven years ago.

2012 Ford Focus Zetec Review

2012 Ford Focus Zetec Review  - The 2012 Ford Focus Zetec S went on sale at the end of last year, bringing several upgrades to the latest generation of the model. For the purpose of this review, they use the most powerful version of the 2012 Focus Zetec S: the 2.0 TDCi. Powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, the 2012 Ford Focus Zetec S 2.0 TDCi tested here develops 161 bhp at 3750 rpm and 251 lb/ft of torque at 3250 rpm. With a top speed of 135 mph, the new Focus Zetec S is able to get from zero to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds. It's not bad for a diesel. The price on the UK market starts at 21,345 GBP.

The Focus Zetec S gets bigger wheels and sportier suspension than your regular Focus. But again (and you knew we were going to say this), these chassis modifications aren't as severe as the ST's will be. We already know all about Ford's long-awaited and much anticipated Focus ST. It was first shown as a near production-level concept at the Paris auto show in 2010, but we won't get it on the road until mid-2012. While we wait, Ford is offering a trailer for the ST -- an ST Lite, if you will -- in the U.K. It's called the 2012 Ford Focus Zetec S. Where the real ST will use a 250-horsepower, 2.0-liter four, the Zetec S has a 180-horse, 1.6-liter motor. Both come mated to six-speed manual transmissions.
