Porsche New 911 Turbo

Porsche New 911 Turbo  - Since the first thing you will notice about the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet in these latest spy shots is the metal roll bar behind the front seats, let us start by pointing out that this is an engineering prototype and that the production model will feature a clean design. With that out of the way, let us see what Porsche is preparing for the new turbocharged Cabriolet model.

With the 911 Turbo we showcased what is technically feasible. Nevertheless, there is always more that can be achieved. Not out of duty, but out of the passion to reach the targets we’ve set for ourselves. That’s why we’ve developed the 911 Turbo S – and given it that little bit extra.

2013 Porsche Macan

2013 Porsche Macan - Porsche has confirmed it intends to produce the Macan, a small sport-utility based on the Audi Q5 platform that will be positioned beneath the larger Cayenne SUV. The Stuttgart-based automaker has provided a few details, including a production date of late-2013, and has released a concept drawing. Porsche Macan mules undergoing winter testing and disguised by a crafty Audi body-shell. 2013 Porsche Macan - First Look: plans are released for Porsche’s new small SUV.

2013 Porsche 911 gt3

2013 Porsche 911 gt3 - Development of the ‘991’ generation Porsche 911 GT3 is well underway, with prototypes of the car spotted on numerous occasions near Porsche’s headquarters in Stuttgart and at the Nürburgring and on some of the race track’s surrounding roads.Porsche's latest generation of the 911, the 991, has just recently made its way onto the scene, and, as our 2012 Best Car To Buy winner, it's excellent. But that's "just" the base Carrera and Carrera S so far--the really hot versions, including the Turbo and GT3, are yet to come.

Performance should also be pushed higher thanks to improved efficiencies inside the 3.8-liter flat six that's likely to power it. The current GT3 RS turns out 450 horsepower and weighs in right around 3,000 pounds; we expect the next GT3 to come close to those same marks, with the 2013 GT3 RS moving even farther up the supercar ladder. The car will miss out on the 4.0-liter straight-six engine found in the 997-based GT3 RS 4.0 and instead rely on the 3.8-liter six found in the regular 911 Carrera S though with output raised to around 450 horsepower.

2013 Porsche 911 Club Coupe

2013 Porsche 911 Club Coupe - Porsche built its first model back in 1948 and the first Porsche Club arrived four years later. Today the company is celebrating "60 years of Porsche Clubs" with the unveiling of the special edition Porsche 911 Club Coupe. The model is based on the 911 Carrera S and will be limited to only 13 units. Prices for the US market start at $175.580.

Porsche has worked up a treat to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the first two Porsche Clubs, the first of which was founded by seven gentlemen in Westphalia, Germany in 1952, and the second started by another six gentlemen a few months later. Those few enthusiasts and two organizations have grown into 181,000 members among 640 Porsche Clubs in 75 countries. In honor of those humble beginnings, Porsche has created the 911 Club Coupe.

Using the Carrera S as a base, the Club Coupe gets the Carrera S Powerkit providing an extra 30 horsepower, taking the total to 430 hp and dropping the 0-to-100-kph sprint to 4.0 seconds. The PASM option drops the car by 20 millimeters over its 20-inch Sport Techno rims, and the Sport Design package adds a new front fascia and a ducktail spoiler out back. The work is then coated in Brewster Green paint with an Espresso interior, and finished with glossy script on the doors.

2012 Porsche 918 RSR Concept

2012 Porsche 918 RSR Concept Porsche unveiled the 918 RSR at the Detroit Auto Show today, a 767 horsepower hybrid race car. Porsche's concept hybrid gets an extra boost from braking, which triggers the motors to act as generators when the front wheels brake.

With the Porsche 918 RSR, the manufacturer of sporty premium vehicles is presenting a high-end synthesis of 2010's successful hybrid concepts. The two-seater mid-engine coupé 918 RSR clearly reveals what happens when the technology fitted in the 911 GT3 R hybrid and the design of the 918 Spyder are transferred to a modern, innovative super sports car.

2012 New Porsche Cayman R

2012 New Porsche Cayman R - The Cayman inches even closer to the 911.  Mallorca has blown a very big fuse. This is my first thought upon spearing out of yet another pretty-but-identikit rural village, because as soon as we leave the immediate environs, the night sky wraps around the Cayman like a black velvet shroud, turning the ice-white Porsche into a faintly glowing, unquiet ghost. Being let loose in the new Cayman R, the lightened and tightened version of one of the most useful sports cars in existence, up a Mallorcan mountain road at night sounds quite cool, but believe me, at this point there’s a horrible, gut-boiling sense of frustration running through me like a dirty infection. And it has nothing to do with dodgy tapas.

2012 New Porsche Cayman R. Sooner or later, it’s time to take the next step forward. Every so often, you realize that the best is simply not enough. Sometimes, there is only one right way: your own.

2012 Porsche 911 Carrera

Porsche 911 Carrera Review - The Porsche 911 Carrera has a reputation as one of the best performing luxury sports car on the market, and that reputation hasn’t changed for the 2011 model year. Porsche has built its fame and fortune on a single rear-engine sports car, the 911. From rather humble beginnings, the Porsche 911 has gone on to be one of the most influential and most recognizable vehicles in the world.

The Porsche 911 became an icon almost the instant it arrived nearly 50 years ago, so when it comes up for a redesign, relatively small steps have usually won the day. Bowing at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show, the seventh-generation 911 Carrera and Carrera S may look to follow that pattern at first blush, but there are some radical changes—albeit not as large as the shift from air- to water-cooled engines—underneath the largely familiar shape.

The 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera ranks 1 out of 8 Super Luxury Sports Cars. This ranking is based on our analysis of 87 published reviews and test drives of the Porsche 911 Carrera, and our analysis of reliability and safety data. The Porsche 911 Carrera continues into the 2011model year with plenty of refinement and speed.

2012 Porsche Panamera Review

Porsche reveals Panamera Turbo S Review - 2012 Panamera Turbo S is new latest of Porsche. 2012 Panamera Turbo S it's faster than an Aston Martin Rapide, a Mercedes S65 AMG, the Maserati Quattroporte, and even the old BMW M5. The new Porsche Panamera Turbo S. The top-of-the-range Turbo S gets a tweaked version of the twin-turbo 4.8-litre V8 via improved turbochargers with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels (reducing inertia) and a modified ECU.

The Ultimate Panamera is the Turbo S, the new flagship to Porsche’s four-seater range. Taking the standard Turbo as its base, Porsche has uprated the 4.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with improved turbos with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and modified engine management software. The result is 550bhp, up from 500bhp in the regular Turbo. Torque also jumps 50Nm to 750Nm in normal running, but this is increased to 800Nm when the Sport and Sport Plus modes of the standard Sport Chrono Package are selected.

If you were to walk into a Porsche dealer today and demand the best of the Panamera lineup, you would be offered a 500 horsepower Turbo model, but if you can wait until deliveries start in June, a 550 horsepower Panamera Turbo S will also be an option. The addition of the Turbo S isn’t exactly surprising, given the sister 911-range already had a Turbo S model. In the Panamera Turbo S, power was boosted to a very healthy 550 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque from a bi-turbo 4.8-liter V8. The 10 percent power bump from the standard Turbo will surely help offset the added bulk of the four doors.

2012 Porsche 918 Review

2012 Porsche 918 review - 2012 Porsche Hybrid Spyder's  new hyper car was previously thought to be just a concept but soon after its initial unveiling the company announced it would be putting the dramatic drop-top on the market. It will be a limited edition model however, and very exclusive with a limited run of just 918 going into production. Prices will start at 645,000 euro.

The price has been set at £678,000, which is nearly three times that of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, and almost £250,000 more than the 918’s
predecessor, the Carrera GT.

Porsche’s hybrid hyper car is go! With fuel consumption of 94mpg, but a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds, the 918 Spyder is set to blur the line between performance and economy as never before. Only 918 examples will be made in total at Porsche’s flagship plant in Stuttgart, with production beginning on 18 September 2013 and first deliveries planned for two months later.

2012 Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Price

2012 Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Price - The Porsche 918 Spyder is now a plug-in hybrid reality. Porsche officially announced this morning the fabulously gorgeous 918 Hybrid first shown at last year's Geneva Motor Show is now a production reality with an eye-watering $845,000 price, a 500-plus horsepower engine and a plug-in electric powertrain. Do want.

The super car gets a 500-plus horsepower V8 engine mounted amidships and a plug-in electric powertrain consisting of two electric motors — one each on the front and rear axles — totaling an additional 218 horsepower and allowing for an all-wheel drive system with independent control of the drive force on both axles.

Electrical energy will be stored in a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery that can be recharged from a standard household outlet. Electric-only driving range is expected to be more than 16 miles on the NEDC. Recharge time will depend on each country's electrical power network, but charging is expected to take about seven hours at 110V/10A in the United States. A quick-charge option is being evaluated to further reduce charging times.

New 2012 Porsche Boxster

New 2012 Porsche Boxster - The new model, generation three Porsche Boxster. New Porsche Boxster is latest car of 2012. We promised you at least one deeply distracting new car a week this year in our new magazine, and by our counting, after the show in Detroit we’re already well ahead of schedule. Porsche is launching a brand new Boxster that will go on sale in the UK this April priced from £37,589.

Porsche is telling us this – and this only – about Boxster 3.0. One, it’s lighter, bigger, and comes with a choice of smaller 2.7-litre (265bhp) and same size 3.4-litre (315bhp) flat six engines slung out behind the driver but in front of the driven wheels. Two, that it’s up to 15 per cent less thirsty. Three, and a surprising one this: it will cost £37,589 and £45,384 for the ‘S’ when it goes on sale in the UK on 28 April. That’s just over a grand and just over £1500 more than the outgoing Boxster (or generation 2.2.1, if you are interested in keeping the software metaphor going)
