2013 Toyota Prius C - The Prius revolution is officially on at Toyota dealers, where shoppers will soon find four times the number of Prii on offer. The 2012 Toyota Prius C in a new video review that urges car shoppers to get a used regular Prius over the new baby model, "it's a much better car overall," said Mike Quincy in the review. At Toyota they have another idea, where C is not for Cookie, it's not for Car and it's not for Compact. In the latest addition to the Prius family, C is for City.

2013 Toyota Prius C
2013 Toyota Prius C at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Toyota debuted an entire line of Prius models, including the intriguing Prius C Concept. They still stress that this is a concept, but a small, sporty hybrid hatchback is surely on its way. We can merely hope Toyota is smart enough to retain these design cues, especially as this is meant to be a "fun to drive" hybrid with taut handling and a sub-$20K price. Toyota is promising the highest mileage of any hybrid on the road that isn't a plug-in.

2012 Toyota Prius Review - The Prius hybrid inspires a cult-like devotion from its drivers, evidenced by the muted reaction from owners after Toyota recalled the Prius in March 2010 for a potential problem with uneven braking. The reaction was similar when media frenzy developed a few weeks later after a San Diego man claimed his 2008 Prius sped out of control on California’s Interstate 8. As cooler heads prevailed, the consensus was that “unintended acceleration” was driver error, not a defect.
Back in the waning years of the previous millennium, the Toyota Prius was born, becoming the first Toyota hybrid. 2012 Toyota Yaris Hybrid Review - The Toyota Yaris HSD is actually relatively good-looking and features a smart exterior design. There’s relatively short overhangs on the front and rear, providing maximum interior room, while certain elements of the body contour have been created to benefit wind flow. A hybrid version of the Toyota Yaris compact car is in the works, but the new hybrid won’t hit the market until around 2012.
The Toyota Yaris HSD features Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system which allows the Yaris to be driven in full-electric mode. In this mode the car emits zero tailpipe emissions and uses zero fuel. 2012 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Review - Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has been selling the Highlander Hybrid mid-size SUV for several years. But where’s the crossover hybrid? Since 2004, the company has allowed Ford to have top-mpg bragging rights for SUVs with its 32-mpg Escape Hybrid. Toyota has committed to an all-electric version of the RAV4—developed in partnership with Tesla—by around 2012. A conventional hybrid version, with mileage in the mid- to high-30s, makes good sense. Perhaps it will be branded with a Prius badge. The RAV4 Hybrid is due in spring 2012, but only the five-door model will get the hybrid option.
UK’s Autocar website reported yesterday that Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motors Sales, confirmed development of a hybrid gas-electric version of the company’s RAV4 crossover SUV. Lentz added that Toyota’s 1.8-liter hybrid system will become the company’s “core powertrain.”

Akio Toyoda took control of Toyota as President. He almost immediately claimed to drop his predecessor’s 2002 plan to have 15% of world market share — up from 11% in 2002 — and said that Toyota would change its priorities to focus on high-quality, affordable cars. Toyota’s current global capacity is ten million vehicles per year, but the company said it plans to drop its capacity (though it has not). Akio Toyoda said that rapid growth had strained Toyota’s resources and resulted in overcapacity. On the other hand, when Toyota sales slowed, he immediately restored rapid growth by slapping large rebates onto Toyota hoods, so it's hard to know how seriously to take these statements.

2012 toyota RAV 4Review
2012 Toyota RAV4 ZCA26 South Africa - The 2012 Toyota RAV4 remains a strong, refined choice for families, even though some of its design might be a blast from the past. Although the 2012 Toyota RAV4 received a refresh for the 2009 model year, and minor changes for 2010, the current iteration of the four-door Toyota SUV dates back to 2006 – not old by industry standards but certainly up there by Toyota’s life-cycle system. As such, a new version of the compact rig will likely surface in 2010 or 2011.
Using information gathered from various inside sources, we had our in-house artist draw up a rendering of what the next-gen 2012 Toyota RAV4 will look like. Although we aren’t expecting the next 2012 Toyota RAV4 to grow much in size, we expect it to adopt some styling cues from the Tundra pickup and FJ Cruiser SUV, giving Toyota’s lineup of trucks and SUVs a more uniform appearance. Despite giving the small SUV a more truck-ish appearance of an exterior spare tire, the 2012 Toyota RAV4 will retain that feature on some models.
Underhood, we expect the 2012 Toyota RAV4’s powertrain offerings to remain unchanged. That means a 2.5L four-cylinder and a 3.5L V6 will likely be employed, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see some tweaking to get the four-pot model up to 30 mpg. Toyota already boasts the quickest SUV in the class, so they will want to retain the sporty edge they hold over the competition.
Another engine possibility is the addition of a hybrid drivetrain. Although Toyota has stopped short of revealing the specific models, Toyota has said that it will add 10 new hybrid models by 2012 – meaning almost certainly that the next 2012 Toyota RAV4 will be one of those models.

2012 Toyota GT-86 coupe - Toyota FT-86 Concept is set to make its world debut at the company's 2009 Tokyo auto show stand on October 21. It's got eye-catching looks, a 2+2 layout, rear-wheel-drive, a horizontally-opposed four-cylinder engine, and a six-speed manual transmission. And a production version is due by late 2011.
Toyota's finally, finally, finally given us some pictures of the GT 86 - its jazzy new coupe that'll debut at this week's Tokyo Motor.

During that year, we’ve heard so many reports, rumors, and whispers about the car, that we’re beginning to think that this could very well be the second-coming of Toyota’s iconic Celica line.
2012 Toyota FCV-R Review
2012 Toyota FCV-R Review - Toyota has finally come clean on its hints from 2009 and produced the FCV-R, a medium-sized saloon, fuel-cell concept, which is a strong indication of what its first commercially available, hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle will look like when it is "rolled out" in 2015.
Toyota's conceptual products at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show are a bit more than crowd pleasers as both the FT-EV III mini and the FCV-R study pictured here, are slated to enter production. The FCV-R is a next-generation fuel-cell concept model fueled by hydrogen that Toyota says is planned for launch in 2015.
Amongst the many concept EVs we've seen at the Tokyo Motor Show this week, Toyota thinks that fuel cell vehicles still have a chance. Hence the above cool-looking FCV-R, an actual functional hydrogen car featuring a multi-LCD panel dashboard along with a driving range of around 700km or 435 miles. Alas, interested buyers will have to wait until around 2015 before Toyota launches its first fuel cell car, which is currently projected to cost around $125,000. And of course, there's no saying on whether hydrogen fuel stations will be widely available across the nation by then. For now though, you can take a closer look at the FCV-R in our video after the break.
